NOT PREGNANT BUT HAVE PREGNANCY SYMPTOMS

Hi All,

To start I am 24yrs old I'm on no birth control reason being I'm not too sexually active with my Fiance deployed or on the opposite end of the coast than me (other than condoms for when we do see each other). I've taken an at home pregnancy test and went to my doctor for a pregnancy test....both results were negative....However, what prompt me to set an appointment originally was because last month I had 2 periods (completely odd for me) by time I came to this month I was working on my 3rd period....I became nauseas, puking, certain foods I typically eat won't stay down.... I find myself bent over to a trashcan throwing my food right back up (@_@) throughout the day.... My breast feel heavier/tender than usual I find myself fatigue all the time, just a few days ago I began spotting than stopped (first time I ever spotted). Oh and I now have acne again....which normally is never an issue. Just to point out NONE of these things are the norm for my body I don't even get cramps/bloating/fatigue etc during that "time of the month" which might I add my cycle normally comes on give or take the same date each month.

Now I hear of these phantom pregnancies and it being in ones mind but this is not my case at all I didn't worry about this pregnancy thing until a few days ago when I took the test and soon after when I went to my doctor....This has been going on since before any possibility of "pregnancy" so I automatically ruled it out from the beginning. I took the pregnancy test to soothe moreso my fiancee and my best friend mind. I just don't know what's going on with me. My doctor says I'm not pregnant but hadn't really answered any of my other concerns of fatigue, nausea etc. She did take a blood sample and said she'll double check if I'm pregnant or not and maybe will look into checking my thyroid. I feel the same as I did before I walked into her office.... sick to my stomach and confused about what is going on???

Has anyone else dealt with anything similar? Or know of any reason a person has pregnancy symptoms when they aren't pregnant?

*Oh and the stress factor can be ruled out also because I haven't been more happier in the past 11months since my Sailor came back home to me

Are you on birth control or any other medication? Many can have a host of side effects, which can give you these symptoms. When you go back to your doctor, you can ask for a blood test to check your hcg levels and that will give you a definite answer as to whether or not your pregnant. Hope it goes well.

Okay thanks I can bring that up. I really don't know what to do because after I took the preg test and it came back negative my doctor was just like "eh okay" so now I'm like now what?? Its now 5 weeks later than when it originally began and I'm still feeling the same way.... no advice from my doctor I figured I set up my appointment earlier this year for a PAP testing....I don't know if that will give me any answers but it gets me back in the doctors office with another host of questions to be answered. I really hope it's nothing serious...even the thought of a miscarriage crossed my mind because my 3rd period I passed these huge bloodclots which has also never happened before (@_@)

You might just have a stomach bug/flu, which is what it sounds like. The symptoms can be from stress, illness, hormonal fluctuations, etc. Having multiple periods or spotting can be from cysts, hormonal fluctuations, etc. There are a lot of possible reasons for what is going on, but check with your doctor again and talk to her.
