Hi. I don't think urine smell or whether it is clear or not has anything to do with tubal ligation being effective. For most women, a tubal WILL be permanent birth control and end fertility. However, for a few, they do go on to get pregnant. Basically, there are two ways a tubal is done. If you have the clips, they can come undone. If they sever the tubes, for a few rare women, there can be scar tissue that forms in such a way that it refuses the tubes and sperm gets through. This does NOT happen to a lot of women but it can happen. It's important if you think you are pregnant to find out for sure because when pregnancy does occur after tubal, it is often a tubal pregnancy which is not viable and dangerous to the mother (egg implants in fallopian tube rather than uterus). So, not sure why you are asking but if you suspect pregnancy, take a test and/or see your doctor. good luck
