I've always been told I couldn't have kids and nothing has ever come close until now and I've never been one for sex near (right before/during/right after) my period, but this time I gave in and sure enough, conceived at the end of my cycle. There really is no "safe" time.

I have a friend who got pregnant on her period. No time in your cycle is completely safe from conception.
