Hi guys - I emailed my Ob and first he told me I passed my glucose test! Yeay! Thank God! Secondly, he told me not to pay attention to measurement data. And he explained that there are biological variations than precise mathematics. And that the LO is doing fine and that is the bottomline. Well I guess in my next visits if he doesnt say anything that is worrying, I have to learn not to take what I see as face value and worry. (arrghhh!!! I am such a worry wart!)
Oh, and tell your doc to stop being so cheap and buy a new ultrasound machine LOL
Well, let us know how the next visit goes :-) I know what you're saying. All the questions come up after I've left the office lol. Then I know they are terribly busy so I just don't do anything, or google stuff.
Take care!
I wouldnt worry. With ultrasounds there always tends to be a 7day + or - for growth. It can also vary with different people doing the measurements. position of the baby etc.... I would never have an issue asking a question. That is what they are there for. You dont want to be all stressed out over something that can be easily addressed,
Well I would have asked him on hindsight on the spot but he didnt seemed upset or concerned and as long as I was not behind I guessed it just totally slipped. You know how it is with pg brains right? Sometimes the idea floats in your head but you are too slow to react until much later? I didnt want to email him to ask cos I know he is terribly busy - his clinic is always running full though he always gives the right and full amt of attention for each patient. I guess I should ask him huh. I just hope he wont throw up his hands and say "Oh not this woman again!!"
My baby always measures one day ahead. It has been pretty consistent with me so far. Hopefully everything keeps running smoothly. Did you ask your OB why baby is measuring one day ahead now after measuring a week ahead two weeks ago?
I don't know, I thought they grew pretty steadily from here on out but I've never had more than 2 scans during any of my pregnancies. With this one, I had a scan at 10 weeks, and baby was measuring exactly 1 week ahead so they changed my due date. Then, at 20 weeks, baby was measuring 5 days behind. They aren't extremely accurate, so I wouldn't worry about it unless you get 2 in a row like that.
