Have you guys felt this way?

Hey ladies! For the past day or so i've been feeling like my period is about to start, which i know is not possible. I'm having light cramps and i feel so "off" especially right now. I feel nauseous and.. Not right. I don't know if it's pre-labor stuff, should i go to the doctor or...? Has anyone felt this way? I'm only 34 weeks also, my last u/s was last thurs and they said my cervix was closed.

Yes, pregnancy belts are great if you are going to be on your feet. Good Luck.

Update: i did call my doctor's office and spoke to a nurse. She did tell me the same thing a lot of you ladies said that the baby is positioning himself which is where the heavy feeling is coming from that and the pressure from him in my uterus. She did suggest i get a pregnancy belt, which i never heard of it but after researching does sound effective!

I usually experience that as the baby is moving into position.I think it is just the pelvis making way for the babies head. I tend to feel it alot in the back.It is nrmal and doesnt mean you are going to have preterm labor. The baby can be in position for weeks before you deliver. I would let your doctor be aware anyway and let them make the decision to see you or not.

I am also 34 weeks and have been having contracions and nausea a lot too, for several weeks now , I did go into my Dr and get checked and I am starting to dialate, so they are going to see me weekly and to cervical checks for further dialation. I good way to see if your cramps are actual contractions it place your hands on your stomach if your stomach gets harder when your cramping it could definitely be contractions. as far as seeing your Dr when is your next appointment? if it's more than a few days away you should definitely atleast call your Dr office tell them whats going on and see what they say! also like KarenDiane said time them if they are getting closer together or stonge rfor more than an hour (even if it  is farther than 10 minutes) call your Dr. my Dr said as long as I make it to 35 weeks he won't stop my labor, but some Dr want you to make it to atleast 37, so that is something to discuss with your Dr as well!

I'm 33 weeks and just last friday I thought I might be getting pre term labor. I had very sharp lightning pain in my cervix and period like cramping. I laid on the couch for a few hours and then just went to bed and it went away finally. The last few days I have been having a few sharp pains in my cervix but not like I did friday. I am going to Dr this week so I'm just going to wait and talk to him then.

I went to yard sales and farmers market friday morning and walked a ton. I think that was the reason. I am also trying to pack my whole apartment and move by next weekend. I have a lot of work to do and I think I just over did it.

Hey nola! Aug. 28 is my birthday :)

I agree with nola. My braxton hicks don't feel like cramping, but it might be different for others. I had some real contractions the other day and they were a little bit crampy, but it was mostly in my back. I'm really hoping I don't have back labor again. I had it with my daughter and it's so much worse than "normal" labor. At 34 weeks, you could be having real contractions. It's nothing to worry about, just start timing them if they keep coming and are getting stronger. Just this week I started experiencing nausea again. It's a terrible feeling.

Hi,

I am visiting from the Sep 10 forum (I am due Sept 2nd but they have moved my due date up to Aug 28th).  I am 33 weeks and have been experiencing the exact same thing - it does not happen everyday and it happens mainly when I am walking.  As soon as I rest, it get better, which makes me think it may be a variant of braxton hicks contractions. If you really feel bad, a call to your doctor would at least be reassuring.  Good luck.
