Spotting again

So I am now 8w5d. I went to the dr on monday for an u/s as I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with a subchorionic bleed. I woke up this morning to more spotting :( .. The last time I spotted was a week ago. It was bright red this morning. I haven't spotted since this morning.

Last u/s dr said baby was doing great.. even saw the baby move. She looked for more bleeds, etc. and didn't find any.. I've had cramps, but it's just the usual cramps i've been experiencing.

I was put on Procardia on Monday due to high blood pressure. She said it was safe during pregnancy.

So I'm again back to worrying. Not sure if I should rush to the dr or not.  This is taking an emotional toll on me..

Hey thanks for your comments...

At my last 2 u/s when I was 8 1/2 weeks, and yesterdays (10w3d), they didn't find any bleeds... but 2 days after my 8 wk u/s I bled.  the dr said it could've been the cervix.

Today, I haven't bled in 3 days. So we'll see if I bleed again or not.. I saw a high risk dr yesterday.. got new heart meds and had another u/s..

Hey. I have a subchorionic bleed as well and have been spotting on and off since week 4. The first time i noticed it was the day i found out and immediately rushed to the ER. I am now 8 weeks and the docs just recently did another u/s where i saw my baby's heartbeat and that reassured me greatly a lot of women get this bleed and in 90-96% of all cases they carry a healthy baby. On sunday i bled bright red/brown FREAKED ME OUT lol but i just keep in mind my baby and he/she heartbeat and lay down.

Thanks for the replies..

Since the heart meds made me extremely sick, my OB just referred me to a high risk dr. I go on friday.

I quit taking the pills. They were making me THAT sick, nauseated and giving me even worse heart issues than before.  My blood pressure is around 160/100.

I do hope the dr will give me another u/s ... I will be 10 weeks on friday. If the dr doesn't, I'm going to request another one to make sure everything is OK.  They have machines on site as it is a research & clinical trial site.

I'm back to spotting again... dont know why... the dr didn't find any bleeds during the last u/s, which will be a week ago tomorrow.

Anyways.. just wanted to update everyone :)

All you can do is ask doctor questions and trust he's got the best interest for u and baby!

Thanks all for your comments.. I appreciate them..

I'm wondering if it's not the blood pressure meds that my dr put me on. I didn't start spotting again until I started taking it.

Today I spotted but it was very light. I"ve been reading information on the meds I"m on and its a category 'C' drug. Says at very high doses it can cause miscarriage and birth defects in rats, mice and rabbits. Hmmm... My dr says its safe to take.

I don't know what to think...

I am 9 weeks and I am also spotting I have been spotting since week 5 and I am on bed rest. I have heavy bleeding sometimes but mostly dark brown spotting. I get a little worried but my doctor tells me to just rest. I hope all goes well for you and I pray a lot. We should be just fine:) God bless

Aww, I'm sorry you're going through this. Just remember that it helps not to worry. I have been spotting since 5 weeks and have hemmoraghing (i'm not sure if that's the same thing as you). I am now 10 weeks and my spotting is mininmal. I only spot when I strain. Dr says it hasn't gotten any worse, but not any better either. I remember at first I was devastated, but it got easier as time went on. I am starting to feel elated just to be where I am right now, and have decided that whatever happens is meant to be. Just count your blessings! Good luck to you hun and we should stay in touch.

I understand exactly how you feel.I had a subchorionic hematoma with my son and bled from 7 -17 weeks. He is a healthy 14 month boy. Just try and take it easy as much as is possible.
