Congestion?

I'm not sick and I don't have allergies but i'm really congested. I have to breathe out of my mooth all the time and it's driving me nutty. It's affecting my sleep. Blowing my nose doesn't do a thing. Cold and allergy medicine don't do anything. I've tried vicks vapo-rub. Anybody else suffering from this? I didn't have this with any of my other babies.

Yes, I've been worried about not getting enough oxygen as well. Thanks for all the advice ladies!

Like Brittny, I have been congested since the beginning. Heck, since before I even knew I was pregnant!! I hate it and it isn’t fun. I tend to think that the lack of oxygen will affect my baby so I just give in to nasal drops. I do Afrin…but try to go under the recommended dose. My doc said it’d be fine as long as I don’t use it too much.

The steam and inhalers do help but not me lol. But maybe I’m not patient enough. I’m claustrophobic and not being able to breathe makes me nervous and anxious.

Neti-pot.....I just heard of that for the first time this morning. They had an article on CNN.com. I'll have to check it out.

I have had severe congestion from the very beggining. I use a neti pot and use a steam inhaler. It seems to work pretty good. I have two humidifiers one in living room and one in bedroom. They help me not blow blood when I blow my nose. Some times it gets really bad and it feels like my sinuses are on fire. I'm always sneezing too. I do have alergies which I'm not looking forward to in the next few weeks and all summer long.

You may have pregnancy Rhinitis I suffered with Fionn as well. If you call your doctor they might recommend  a antihistamine or you can try more natural and do saline wash.
