I'm considered high risk this time around and I don't have my first appt with the high risk ob until I'm almost 12 week mind January :/. I figured I'd be followed a lot sooner but it's just the time of viability. They can hear and see a heart beat at that time. Stuff like that I guess:/

My doctor said the same thing, only because you can't see or hear anything until around eight weeks. My doctor said it just protical for most OB's. Good luck on the 28th though, hope everything looks good.

Hi. Congrats. There are many reasons: Risk of miscarriage, possibility of false positive (menstrual cycle may come), no placenta formed yet (yok sax only), no heartbeat yet (live fetus cannot be detected)
