Spotting

Hi everyone :)
My name is Sarah.
I'm 8 weeks pregnant today (first pregnancy) and bled a little bit. Nothing heavy or bad, just light reddish, basically looking the way it does when my period first comes. Needless to say, I was extremely worried and panicked. I was told, and have read, that spotting is normal and there are various reasons that it occurs, and it is perfectly fine and doesn't mean there is a problem. I was also told that if you miscarry/are miscarrying, you have severe cramps and bleeding. Is that always true, and has anyone on here had a miscarriage without those intense symptoms? I'm going to my ob/gyn tomorrow but would still like some input from my fellow mothers-to-be :)

I also believe it fairly normal I had bright red bleeding but not lot at 7 weeks for 1 1/2 days I had an ultrasound 3 days later and had a little blood cloth behind the placenta but the baby was fine...I have never had a miscarriage and this is my 3rd needless to say the last one was 10 1/2 years ago!  and never had bleeding early on (in my last, I had bleeding during my third trimester but turned out fine)

Take care, take it easy and relax. And Congrats!

I have had 2 m/c and the first one I had the major bleeding and cramping.  The second was called a missed m/c in that the babys heart stopped around wk 7.  And about 4 or 5 days later the major bleeding and cramping started.  And this preg now Im 11 wks (will be 12 wks on Mon) and so far all is well. And I am thankful!!

I think you dont have anything to worry about my friend. Just dont fear your symptoms coming and going either...thats pretty normal as well.  And Congrats on your pregnancy.
