I hope I get another ultrasound soon. I haven't had one since 18 weeks and am now 35 going on 36.
Is anyone else's lower back KILLING them? I have constant pressure in my lower back that started 2 days ago. The doctor said last week she was really low so maybe that has something to do with it.
The tech I just saw said they may monitor me more closely for growth since she's only in the 35th percentile, but the Dr. said everything is just fine, and they don't begin to worry until the growth is under the 10th percentile. With my DD she was small also, I ended up being induced with her because near the end she stopped growing almost all together because there was an issue with the placenta. I had been told to sit on the couch and eat to help baby gain weight..all that happened was I gained another 20 pounds and baby stayed small.
I mean, I'm positive about the first day of my last menstrual period. The tech who did the ultrasound also said she was 'abnormally small' and I needed to be on bed rest to help her plump out. But when I went back to my OB, she said she wasn't abnormal and that bed rest wasn't necessary because it doesn't help babies plump out. So I mean, I'm not super worried. It sure does FEEL like she's big enough these days!
isthisnormal: Maybe you just conceived a little later than originally thought. But either way, unless your doctor's worried about it, I wouldn't be either ;-)
Gosh, everyone's babies are in such high growth percentiles. My little girl is in the 13th percentile. :/
I didn't get any pictures of her face either last time, for that exact same reason. She was just too low and kinda hiding her face. Must have felt a little shy that day ;-)
I had my 3rd trimester growth u/s yesterday, and baby is estimated at 4 lbs 8 oz. She's in the 35th percentile for growth, which seems to be normal for me, my DD was also on the smaller side. I may have another u/s just to make sure the growth doesn't drop. I couldn't get any pictures really of the face, because baby is head down, facing back and really low, so she's ready to go.
Well, since I've been off work I've had a horrible case of cabin fever. But I'm almost to my weekly doctor's appointments, and she's measuring very nicely. :) I'll *possibly* be getting a 3D ultrasound before my shower, which would be amazing to see!
Yeah, sounds like you right on target!
:-)
I should hopefully fall right in target with weight gain, if it stays the way it has. I gained 42 pounds with my first, from 118 to 160, and I'd not like to do that again!
Hope everyone is feeling well!
Haha! Yeah, I know what you mean...but 18 lbs at 31 weeks is pretty good :-) Don't they say between 25 and 35 lbs for someone of normal weight at the end of the pregnancy? I have a feeling I will be over that...oh well! By the way, how scary about the leaking fluid! Glad to hear it wasn't amniotic!
Lol Heather...I look small, but I guess I meant to say I don't really FEEL small. I am also up to 150, but from 132. The bb's are a different story. My F cup from my last pregnancy doesn't fit anymore.
I spent 3 hours in the maternity ward the other night on the monitor. I had been leaking fluid which thankfully wasn't amniotic, but for the past 8 weeks I have been having constant contractions, usually 3-4 an hour. Luckily I'm not dilated at all, but I am 30% effaced. She did the fetal fibronectin test which came back negative, so I know baby will keep cooking for the next 2 weeks, which is good information since my hospital won't deliver before 33 weeks. I have a growth u/s in 2 weeks, so I am excited to see baby again.
Hi everyone! I'm also doing good! Still fighting some heartburn, especially at night, and I've developed some fun vericose veins on my legs...but hopefully they'll go away again after delivery. Unlike Mikaleen, though, I feel huge already! I'm already up to about 150 lbs (from 125), and the bigger BBs aren't really helping either! Kinda scary to think that I still have 2 1/2 months to go (or should I say grow)!
Oh, and I have at least two or three braxton hicks contractions every day.
I am doing well - just getting fatter - lol - I've put on 26 pounds now. I feel great for the most part except I am a lot more tired and achy. Our baby boy is measuring right where he should be.
I am getting a bit nervous that we have 8 1/2 weeks (at most) to go and the nursery isn't ready and our boy still doesn't have a name! We have had it narrowed down to 2 names practically since before I was pregnant, but DH has to decide if he wants it to be a IV since he is the III of his name, or if he wants to use the other name that is a combo of family names as well.
Also, I am a teacher and we have had SOOOO many kids out sick that DH is scared I am going to be the next w/ swine flu. I got the regular flu shot a few weeks back and at my next appointment they said they should have the swine flu shot. Our kids have been out for all sorts of illnesses so now I make my kids disinfect the room every day. We wipe down the desks and spray w/ lysol. Hopefully I'll make it through w/ out catching anything. I already caught a mild cold the 2nd week of school!
I hope y'all are all doing great - it's getting close now! I can't wait to see the first pictures of our December babies!
I get extremely tired in the afternoons after lunch time and cant seem to kick it. Sometimes its really hard to stay focused. But after work i can go home and relax with my puppy which is great!!! :) I wont be doin much relaxing when the baby is born so may as well do it now hey!!
I can't believe there's only 9 weeks left! I feel mostly good. I'm actually still pretty small, the Dr. can't believe it, but baby girl is measuring right on. I have another appointment Thursday.
I never heard back after my 3 hour glucose test, so I figure I passed.
It's the home stretch, and we STILL can't agree on a girl's name.
Glad to hear you guys are doing good.
My lower back has been burning and hurting bad this past week. I seem to be nauseous alot lately too. I am tired all of the time, all I want to do is sleep.

I've been good! Tired & my back gets sore a lot quicker now too. But on the plus side, our little girl has been really active lately! It's fun feeling her spin around; I can't tell what parts of her I'm feeling when I touch my stomach, but I know it's her :) How've you been feeling?
