Lower back pain

Hi there,

Is anyone else getting quite bad lower back pain. I woke last night with a pain in my left dimple thing (not sure if the name) and the pain has been all day now. Maybe I did it unloading the car of groceries. I'm scared it's the start of a miscarriage (I've never had one before) but trying to ignore it in the main.

I'm 6 weeks yesterday. I had a bad night with backpain so went to the A&E. They told me it was too early to do a scan really (plus they had already booked in 10 ahead of me and I didn't want to wait). They tested for an UTI though as the urine test was positive for blood and leuco somethings. They said it sounded muscular but if it is the start of something else there's nothing that can be done.
No bleeding and no abdominal pain so those are the good signs.

I guess this might be one of the hazards of being such an old gal having a baby (I'm 41). Hope your backpain is easing.

hi there i have been having bad back ache aswell i have also been getting cramps like my period . i'm not to worried about them just yet as i had a mc in dec and the pain , oh my god it was awful i was only 7 weeks but i had a really dull ache in my belly my back really really hurt but the thing that made me know it was a mc was the bleeding it started light pink and then went bright red throughout the day :( i had the pain for about a day or 2 but as long as your not bleeding i think it's ok , you could always call the midwife for some advice ? i have the drs on weds i'll be 5 weeks then , i wont be able to relaxe untill i have my 1st u/s but thet usually dont do it till your 12 weeks :( i cant wait that long , i'm so anxious ive even started dreaming about miscarrige i'm so scared , my dr wouldnt do my hcg lvls so that s u c k e d .all i have is time and i spose i'll just have to wait and see . good luck how far gone are you ?? x
