PAIN IN LET BUTTOCK...PLEASE HELP

Hi, I am in my 7th week of pregnancy, and I have a pain in my left butt cheek that drives me crazy.  it started about a week ago and it is almost paralyzing at times.  It hurts to walk and stand after sitting, and my family keeps saying "wait until you feel labor pains, and that this isn't anything".   I believe that it is something more than a common symptom of pregnancy and it is scaring me.  Has anyone else had a pain only in their left bottocks and it does not go anywhere else.  PLEASE HELP.

It sounds like it is your sciatic nerve.  It often leads to pain in one butt cheek and can radiate pain down the back of your leg if it worsens.  It is very painful and can be so sharp at times it takes your breath away.

Unfortunately there is not much you can do to help it. I ended up going to the chiropractor in my first pregnancy to get an adjustment. It would help for a while.
