Failed first glucose test

Sigh.  I failed the first glucose screening and have to go for the two hour one on Monday.  My numbers weren't too far off, so they weren't too concerned, but they want to make sure and they also want to make sure that the baby doesn't grow too big as I'm measuring two weeks ahead.  Fortunately my last u/s which was only a week and a half ago said that he was measuring normal.

Yes, they called and said they wanted me tested further just to make sure.  If I don't pass that one then they send me to a nutritionist which wouldn't be a bad thing!  I hope I'm in range though, because I don't want a really big baby which would put me at risk for a c-section and apparently also pre-eclampsia which my Mom suffered with through all of her pregnancies.

And YES that stuff tastes awful.  I don't eat/drink anything with glucose/fructose or artificial flavouring/colour and that's about all that drink is!  Geesh!  You try and stay healthy...

I'm sure you'll pass the next one with a breeze especially since your numbers weren't too far off. I had my glucose test done Thursday...I forgot how aweful that stuff is!! Did they call you and tell you your results were abnormal? Good Luck tomorrow!!!!!
