NIGHT IN L & D preterm

I had all my kids early and was on bed rest from 23 weeks, but this one has been pretty good but now at  31 weeks I started having contractions first 20 mins apart then the got to 6 mins apart and back up to 10 mins so I went to the hospital as my DR asked and was having them 5 mins apart so the gave me Terbutaline to stop the labor. I was still closed but they said it was soft. I go to the DR on Tuesday so I will find out more after that.Just wanted to share

I find out tomorrow at the growth u/s how large he is...  I will keep u posted. You are also in my thoughts.
I agree the terbutaline side effects are terrible... Ugh!

Kelly, I am sorry to hear that, I want my baby to stay in longer this is my last so I want to enjoy her inside. I will say I was on the oral terbutaline with my other kids and bedrest and it was not fun, I had to take a pill every 3 hours and hated how it made me feel So I hope better for you.Do you know how big your baby is now?Keep me posted and I will keep you in my thoughts :)

I can relate... I am 32w1d and 2cm, 40% effaced. I was in L&D last Monday with contractions. Also the swab taken to see if possible pre-term labor came back positive. Yikes. I was given 2 shots of terbutaline to stop my contractions. Was sent home on oral terbutaline if contractions came back... I have had to take them only one addl time this past Fri.    I go tomorrow for an NST and growth u/s.

Man....all these February babies want to come way earlier than anticipated..its nuts!
