has anyone had to take antibiotics during pregnancy

I was bitten by a spider on my arm sometime over the weekend.  I thought that it was a mosquito bite, but it got really bad, really quickly, needless to say, I went to the doc and now i am on antibiotics.  3 times a day for 10 days.  The docs say that what i am taking is harmless to the baby while pregnant, just should not take it while breast-feeding.   I know i need it, i just dont want to hurt my baby.  Grrrr.  anyone else have to take meds while pregnant.  how did you do with that?

I did. I had a sinus infection when I was pregnant with my son and had to take antibiotics. The dr said they were okay to take while pregnant - just to be sure I checked with my OB's office and they said I was fine.  Good luck with things!

Thank you so much.  I have had miscarriages in the past and this pregnancy is going so well that I am nervous at every thing.

I had a UTI as well and had to take antibiotics for 7 days 3x a day! All you can do is trust the Dr.  I ended up being fine. Hope this helps!

I think antibiotics are ok to take. I have been having UTI's off and on since I got pregnant (now 11w3d) and I have been on antiobiotics. I'm sure they won't harm your baby!!
