If they are releasing you, than all is good.  And the heartrates sound great. :-D  The first heartrate I had detected was at about 7 weeks, and it was 140.  Then at 9.5 weeks it was 176.  As far as I know, anything between 120 and 180 is healthy. :)

They said it is progressing nicely - I was a little shocked but I am sure the numbers in the chart above are ranges and most likely if someone has an u/s at the end of one week they do not have another until a week later - so that makes up the range.. but I just happen to have them 4 days apart and it went from the end of 7 week range to end of 8 week range.  The released me from their care.. so all must be good.. I am IVF - so they want the pregnancy to be good because it makes their numbers better!!! At least that is my thought!

Well - I was not feeling well so Dr brought me in to make sure all was good.. 8w1d heartrate of 174 bpm - crazy - up 20 bpm from Friday.  Fertility Dr released me from their care - now onto the OB/GYN.. then in a couple weeks to the High Risk Drs....

For me- at 6 weeks it was 110 and at 10.5 weeks (today) it was 160....
My doctor believes in the heartrate gender thing to a point, but she said there is a gray area (like the 160s) and so for me she can't say what she thinks..but she does believe the higher it is the more likely it is a girl. But I'm right in the middle so we still don't have any idea...plus my intelligender test was inconclusive too..lol I can't seem to get any clue before 20 weeks.

All three of my girls had heart rates from 172-183 and my son was 150-160. I know they say it has no coralation but with my grandmas 21 grandchildren, my mothers 16 grandchildren, and many friends, boys tend to run lower from 120-150 and girls tend to run from 155-180. I know many nurses that swear by it. There are lots of "old wives tales" that people say are wrong but as a hostorian they tend to be right about lots of things. Like how they used to say the more hearburn the more hair. Medical findings have now learned that the same hormaone that produces hair produces heartburn. Remember that dr's practice medicine and it is not 100% correct all the time. THey used to think by bleeding the patient it would rid them of the illness. I know we have come a long way but it is mother nature that really knows it all:)

I guess boy!!! Let me know when you find out if I am wrong, I would love to know:)

Great stats!  I've googled a few different sites and it's amazing the conflicting info that is out on the internet.  All I know is that when the nurse heard my baby's HB, she said it was in the perfect range.

That was pretty informative!! Thank you!!! I saw that there is different rates for different weeks.. so that make me a little more comfortable as well...

Starting at week 5 the fetal heart will accelerate at a rate of 3.3 beats per day for the next month.

The fetal heart begins to beat at approximately the same rate as the mothers, which is 80 to 85 bpm. Below illustrates the approximate fetal heart rate for weeks 5 to 9, assuming a starting rate of 80

Week 5 starts at 80 and ends at 103 bpm

Week 6 starts at 103 and ends at 126 bpm

Week 7 starts at 126 and ends at 149 bpm

Week 8 starts at 149 and ends at 172 bpm

At week 9 the fetal heartbeat tends to beat within a range of 155 to 195 bpm.

The fetal heart rate will begin to decrease and generally will fall within the range of 120 to 160 bpm by week 12.

I had my second ultrasound they said i measured 7wks 2 days and my baby's heartbeat was 176 bpm. I googled it and this is what i got. Your in the normal range so don't worry.

Listen to a fetal heartbeat

The normal rate is generally considered to be between 120 and 160 beats per minute.

The rates are typically higher (140-160) in early pregnancy, and lower (120-140) toward the end of pregnancy.

Past term, some normal fetal heart rates fall to 110 BPM.

There is no correlation between heart rate and the gender of the fetus.

Sounds great!  And the girl HB faster is a big myth. . . :-D

I had my 2 u/s at 6w6d, and my baby's HB was 140.  I'm not sure what the normal range is, but I know both of our numbers fit into normal. :-D
