None stress test

I got a call from the specialist ive been seeing for my high risk pregnancy saying that my other doctor scheduled a none stress test for me for tomorrow Im a little scared what might happen cause you usually get those atleast 3-4 weeks before your due date I still have 7 weeks. Since the beginning of this pregnancy I had a feeling that this baby was going to come early but not this early I will see what happens I might end up having a may or early june baby. Im due July 2

Thanks girls for your comments but yea I think they do towards the end of the pregnancy to check on the baby. I just had my babyshower yesterday and am so happy cause I.got lots of clothes and other things I needed for my baby so im feeling better just incase he does come early. I had been stressing and dealing with other things and that is why I hadnt replied.

I think it's routine at some point in pregnancy. I had it done a couple times with my 1st baby and now with this one. I'm not high risk. Also, everyone I've talked to with children have had one at some point so I guess they should be pretty routine :)

My doctor ordered one last week at 28weeks beggar the baby was a little less active that day and i've been getting a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions. I wouldn't worry too much, they're probably just making sure everything its going smoothly

Ill be 32 weeks tomorrow and I've been going to my doc every 2 weeks for a while now. I think just bcuz you are getting closer to the due date they want to keep a closer eye on you...I know my doc will eventually have me in once a week.

Well my appointment came out ok. But I have to go in twice a week from now on untill delivery. Which means double the appointments. They did scare me a bit cause after the nst I had to get a us and that came out ok. So im glad.

Do they do stress tests for all pregnancies?!
