morning sickness

I'm 9 weeks 1 day today and I feel like this morning sickness will never end! I've tried crackers, ginger ale, sour candy, trying to keep snacks in my purse. Oh it just so horrible. I work a 11 hr. night shift and I barely get through the night. It's the nausea that bothers me most. It's constant. Anybody have any suggestions on how to ease this sick feeling?

During your next doctors appointment, ask for Zofran. The generic (ondansetron hcl) is usually really cheap, and it's a miracle. I have not just morning sickness, but all day, 24/7 sickness annnnd I work in an ER where smells are abundant. I have spoken with not only my OB, but several ER docs and they all swear by Zofran. The usual prescription is 4mg, but you can take up to 8mg at a time. This is good not only for pregnancy sickness, but if any medications make you queasy or even just having the stomach bug. I always keep some on hand.  Oh and if you have a hard time with pills, they are reeeeaaaallly small.
I also find that ice water really helps me. I'm talking like a bottle of ice, with very little water though, it has to be super-cold. I'm 8 weeks 3 days, and no sign of this nausea going away.

I found ginger biscuits were amazing for me. Some people try those bracelets you can get for travel sickness. I hope you're one of the lucky onesones and itgoes in the next week or so. Its about 9 weeks it eases up generally. Good luck x
