I always get it and got it at 6 weeks of pregnancy. I took the single dose preservative free one for pregnant women. I didn't get sick and hardly had an aching arm. Since getting the glue shot every year starting 4 years ago, I hadn't gotten the flu.
I never get the flu shot. I've thought about getting it since im pregnant. I don't think its necessary. I'm healthy enough to fight the flu on my own.
My job provides the associates with free flu shots so I decided to get one this year. When I went to the doctor they told me that being pregnant lowers the immune system and that it was a good idea to get one to protect me and the baby. The flu is one less thing for me to worry about.
I have in previous years been against getting the flu jab. I'm a nurse and never really seen why I should have it however I did as I'm pregnant and will now always get it..my partner and my son have both been down with flu like symptoms and I havn't caught any of it. I would definitely recommend
I got the flu shot at my last appt. I haven't in the past but the thought of being pregnant, already nauseous and then adding the flu on top of it just sounded like something I'd like to avoid if at all possible. The list of meds that are safe to take while pregnant is pretty short, so all you can pretty much do is sip tea and pray you get over it quickly.
Never in my life did I believe in getting the flu shot. Always felt like it was a lie. Lately, media has been spreading news the vaccine is flawed. So I've done my research. However, I'm not going to risk not getting it this time around bc I have my health and my baby's at risk which I'm not about to do. I gor it a few wweks back and feel fine. I too am a sub teacher and Ive stopped working. Talk to your doctor. Don't decline it just because others tell you or speak ill of it. It's your choice. Do what's best for you & baby :)
against. i work in health region. see to many ppl have reactions. i also have had two major reactions and will never again get it or my children. how can they perdict the flu they got it wrong this year. do your reasearch.. i just spoke to a guy whos gathered info of pros and cons his words we are gunna have a spike in 10 to 15 years in G.B disease lupus etc if work places keep pushing it...scary **** right.
If you work in an elementary school and don't get the flu shot, you will probably get the flu, this year or next. It is a contagious illness, and pretty unpleasant. Besides, you could be a party to spreading it around if you have been exposed. Why would you not get it?
