Back Pain at 36 weeks!! Any suggestions?

Hi guys. I'm 36 weeks and starting to have really bad back pain right below my left shoulder blade and upper back. It hurts to even sit up at the computer for long, or even sit in a chair to eat or watch TV. A warm bath or shower helps but only temporarily. My belly is getting really big, so I'm sure the added weight etc. are causing this -- and I'm sure plenty of you guys are experiencing similar pain! : /

**Wondering if anyone has found anything that has helped relieve this type of back pain..???

Thanks! xo, Heather

Thanks. I'm doing stretches and def. recruiting poor DH to back rub a couple times a day - but like Tasia32 said, that relief is temporary. I'll try to maintain better posture and see if that works. I'm prob. slouching!  Ha Ha.

I have to agree with Tasia32, good posture is important. Some simple back stretching exercises are probably not a bad idea. What about swimming? That's even better during the pregnancy. A bath I would also recommend but also ask your Dr. / midwife if they could recommend something for you. Unfortunately, these are the bad things of pregnancy. But in a few weeks they will be gone :-)

For me I need some really good back support. If I don't have that the pain gets worse and worse until nothing I do helps. Sometimes I get DH to massage it but that only helps for a little while. Make sure you keep good posture too. Hope this helps.
