Hair color

Do you think it is safe to color your hair in the third trimester - beyond 26 weeks? I know this is a personal preference question, I was just looking for some opinions.  I know we all have opinions! : )  I have a major event coming up when I will be 30 weeks pregnant and I was hoping to look the best I can - without gray hair!  I was hoping to color at 26 weeks and then touch up before I go at 30 weeks.

yea i honestly have never heard of it being a problem,  at the end of the day the baby probably has absorbed alot of chemicals from all the disinfecting etc i do without gloves on... rather then just dying my hair!

even tho i havent dyed my hair today when i was straighting it i thought geez it would be nice to get it done before my bday (31st march) LOL

goodluck and i say go ahead wont cause any issues

I would say it is totally fine, my doctor also says it is fine. Obviously good ventilation and such is prefered. But I colored my hair *alot*, probably too much, when I was preggers with my son, and he came out perfectly healthy and happy!
So go make yourself feel beautiful! :)

u no what i was thinking the other day
u no big super stars nicole richie etc, NONE of those people go a wk without having there hair done even when preggers, and there babies are all pretty ok lol!

nah seriously studies have shown no defects or problems with babies, the only time it has caused any problem and it was very uncommon for it too, is extreemly high doses on rats, and at the end of the day its ALOT bigger then what we would be exposed too

i personally am still not going to get my hair done tho, because i find every time i do i get headaches after, so im just going to wait a few more wks, til i have had the bub but i really dont think it would be a problem hun, also, there are alot of hairdressers who work from day one til d day, and they always havet hair done because in a salon u have to be looking ur best :)

plenty of people do! never heard of any probs
