Those things just come with extra complications when compared to normal pregnancies (unfortunately). The higher miscarriage rate comes with the fact that we have a obvious fertility issues (unless is the man), hormonal imbalance (PCOS), taking medications,
and the chances of multiples.
How is the pregnancy considered at risk? I'm pregnant via IVF and I'm not high risk or anything, as far as I'm concerned it's the same as a normal pregnancy, yes slightly higher risk of miscarriage but everyone has risks
Also the pregnancy is considered at risk and there are higher chances of having a baby with trisomy
IVF is not guaranteed. The embryo might not "take," and if it does, you are still subject to all the same miscarriage risks and other risks to pregnancy that anyone else is.
