Yes! Before when I was thinking about getting pregnant, my psychiatrist told me to be sure and take folic acid if I am going to stay on my meds while attempting to conceive and during pregnancy. I'm 9 weeks now and have been weening off of my drugs.  Let me tell you, withdrawals suck big time, but put morning sickness on top of that and I've never been more miserable. I take more than just anti depressants, though, because I have bipolar disorder, so I don't know if it's the antidepressant doing it. Now that it's really starting to leave my system I'm noticing depression symptoms, which is definitely worrisome.  I'm starting to wonder if going off completely is the best idea...

I'm on Welbutrin and will not be going off. Although not ideal, it is considered okay and I can't risk falling into a depression. I've been nauseous and exhausted for weeks and fairly miserable as a result so I think it would be unwise to go off of it. Personal choice I think.

I'm taking Zoloft as well, I've been told it's the safest of the group so I feel mildly good about that. I may try and wean off them but I think I'd get panic attacks as well which maybe more harm than good?

I'm on 50 mg of sertraline. I felt so good after I found out I was pregnant that I weaned off of them. Huge mistake for me! Now I have panic attacks all the time and started wripping my eyebrows out. I passed out at my last dr's appointment. I'm actually calling my dr today so that I can slowly go back on them. My dr always said that for me a stress free pregnancy and labor is safer for the baby and decreases your chance of preterm birth. At such a low dose, long term side effects are extremely rare, but there may be withdrawal symptoms for the baby that last only 24 hours after birth.

My doc said there is very little info on what the risks are with the meds im on. He said thats a good thing because it shows there hasnt been many cases reported. He lowered my dose but coming of these is not a option. Im nervous about it and getting a scan in 2 weeks. So hopefully all will b ok

I took a small Zoloft dose.  Kind of wish I didn't, but my doctor didn't warn me off it.  My son has midline-crossing issues and vision convergence difficulties.   I have no way to know if he would have had these with or without my taking the Zoloft, but it makes me nervous.

Please talk it all over with your doctor.  They always say, do the benefits outweigh the risks, and if they know the benefits in your case and know the risks of what you are taking, they are the best person to advise you about things like tweaking your dose, etc.
