How many cm dilated before you're admitted?

Hi. I was 1cm dilated on 12/31. I'll be checked again tomorrow & it just makes me curious to know how many cm dilated you have to be before you're admitted to the hospital. I also have another fetal fibronectin test. If that's positive, I'll be admitted anyway, but I'm curious about dilation. Thanks :)

You're right :) We are all different. I'm only 29 weeks w/ twins & on bedrest due to threatened preterm labor. My cervix kept shortening, so that's another reason they might keep me if I've dilated any more. I'll find out tomorrow! Thanks :)

I would say Greater then 4cm....Def by 5cm I dont think they would let you go.....But with twins it could be different and everyone's history, it could be different as well.... I mean if you were 4cm and not contracting reg and full term they might send you home...But I would think with twins and if you were 3-4cm they might keep you...IDk, Im not a dr. LOL and you know every Dr. is different as well....Hope you have a good Appt! Update when you can :o)
