presure...nebody no what it is??

Hey im 20weeks preganant and for the last 2days ive had alot of presure down below. its my 4th. i never had it with others til 38weeks n was told it was because baby engaged. surely at 20weeks this cant be the reason? Can some 1 help please? it is worse when im stood up and its painful. its like im just about to give birth if that makes sense. iu had no barcton hicks no sharp pains or anything. xx

Hi There! I have been getting the same sensation off and on for the whole pregnancy. I think it has to do with things growing and stretching, adjusting, etc. I've mentioned it to my midwife and she doesn't seem concerned. However, if you feel like something is wrong you should definitely have it checked out!

it could just be things growing, but I reckon it wouldn't hurt to give your doctor a call and get them to check you out.

Most important would be to make sure the cervix is holding well, etc.

In the meantime, just try to rest a bit.  Also make sure you drink plenty of fluids.
