About baby Update*

Okay its almost May ladies, and we have lost track of this forum.  So I want to do an update.  Its all about baby just like beforre but adding anything new in.. Ill go ahead and start

Okay My name is Ammanda, I am 20 years old, Engaged to Drew for a year now.  I am now 33 weeks and 4 days.  Due may 7th!  This is my first baby.  And its is a lil boy!! His name is Cole Patrick!  I had my last ultra sound at 30 weeks and he was so precious and he looks just like his daddy.  At my 32 week check up my uterus wasnt exaclt measuring what it should, I should have been 32 cm but I was only 28 cm.  So If i dont catch up by 36 weeks Im going to be getting induced, because he is running out of room.  I have my 34 week check up tomorrow and I hope things are progressing along.  I had my baby shower 2 weeks ago and that went so well.  I got alot of stuff.. We have everything we need, and the nursery is all set up, now were just waiting for him to come.  I cant wait!  I love him so much already, there really isnt a minute that goes by that he doesnt have his foot or hand poking out my side, and I love that feeling it makes me tear up sometimes.  Only 6 weeks to go for me!!!

I look forward to hearing all about whats been going on with all the other May babies!!  Hope everything is well.. Its almost here!

my name is rachel i just got married to my hubby stephen..we've been married for 3 weeks now lol :) im pregnant with my first baby, ariana. she is due may 27th. but i'll be full term may 6th, so that's the day im really lookin forward to. i might wait to start tryin to get her out until im 38 weeks, just to be on the safe side. but we'll see what the doctor says. at my last appt my uterus was measuring behind 2 cm too, so im a little nervous for our next appt tomorrow. i hope it has caught up or at least grown 2 cm. my baby shower is april 10th, and i really can't wait. i invited like 70 something people, so im hoping there is a good turn out!!! ariana kicks a lot, but some days she is sleepy. but her sleepiness is probably active for most babies...she moves most of the time. she takes little 15-20 minute naps.

I am almost 33 weeks now.  I have been married to by husband for over five years.  We are having a boy.  This is our first child.  We haven't decided on a name yet.  I guess we finally have it narrowed down to three names (Nolan, Evan, and Grayson).  My doctor says I am measuring exactly were I should be, so I guess that it good.  I am due May 12th.  We have pretty much got everything set up.  I am just putting the final touches on the nursery.  I guess my pregnancy has been pretty uneventful- just the "normal" symptoms.  Right now the sleepless nights and back pain are starting to get to me.  The baby kicks a lot too.  I guess that's good, because we know he is healthy.  It's hard to believe though I only have about 7 weeks to go.  On one hand I am really excited not to be pregnant anymore, but on the other hand I keep thinking am I really ready for this : )

Hello!  I'm Melinda and I'm 31 weeks pregnant with my second daughter.  I have been married to my husband for 5 years and I'm 29 years old.  I am due May 25th buy my doctor is going to schedule my c-section for 39 weeks.  I only have 8 more to go!  My pregnancy has been very normal and I'm hoping the next 8 weeks continue on that same path.  I'll be having a c-section because I had a scheduled one for my first daughter because she was pretty large, 9lbs 3oz.  We're are going to name our newest little girl Jordyn.  I'm leaning toward the middle name Grace but I have 8 weeks to change my mind.  hehe   We're in the home stretch ladies!  I can't wait to bring this one home because I know what to expect.  With my first, it was like I was in an alternate reality for about a month.  I'm hoping to skip that part this time around. =)  Take care all!

Hey! I am 34 weeks 4 days here!  I have been married to my husband for 5 years and we have a 15 month old son who is expecting to be a big brother to a beautiful baby girl.  We are naming her Addison Grace and plan to call her Addy.  The nursery is almost complete (need to hang a few pictures and wall decals, etc) and I need to wash some of the baby's clothes (we have alot of hand-me downs from my great sis) and get them put away in her nursery (all drawers and closet are empty).   All of this rush to get the nursery finished and she won't even be sleeping in their for a good while (we put a pack n play beside our bed for our first born and it worked out wonderful).   I am so excited to meet my little princess!   My back is aching constantly (probably from the combo of being pregnant and carrying a 23 pound toddler around) and I have been having trouble sleeping at night too - but ladies just think of those nights as practice for when your little one arrives!

hey again! I am now 33.3 weeks along with our 3rd baby girl! have my next ob app on monday, where i will be begging him for another ultrasound! lol
I just want to see what she looks like now! Finally settled on Amelie Katherine. My youngest was so mad at me! She wanted her name to be Zoe, or Mary, or goodness I dont even know she just doesn't like what I picked out haha. She will call her baby for a while anyway. I am loving my body in this stage of pregnancy, except the back ache :( and difficulty putting shoes on, and oooh the nesting that is driving my husband mad! I noticed that many of you were told exactly how many weeks you measured and my doc doesnt really pay attention to that. I want to know why. Every time I ask him something about my weight gain he just shrugs it off and says oooh its ok! your fine. But I havent really gained much, especially compared to my last daughter who weighed 8.5 so I wonder if shes packing on enough in there? I will find out at my next appointment for sure! I havent had a shower yet, since this is my third girl I really dont feel like doing that to people lol, but I am having a small get together on Apr. 10 and I am treating it sort of like a shower, but sort of not lol. No baby cake, no baby games, just small gathering, food, small gifts, i only registered for onesies, socks, blankets, etc. since my husband and I are doing cloth diapering and are taking care of all the rest too. So I will just need the basics. Anyway, I am exited, and getting very impatient! I wonder which one of us will go first, then second... :) cannot wait to hear birth stories either! hope you are all feeling well! take care!

Its nice to hear all of you baby stories so far, glad to know everyone is doing food and right on track.  We are all so close together.  I had my appointment yesterday and my uterus caught up to 32 weeks so its still 2 weeks behind but at least its progressing.  My doctor told me that he will see where I am at when im full term to determine if he needs to induce me, but to explain it more he said that i was flunctuating for 2 months from 28 weeks to 27 back to 28cm.  So he said its possible that my placenta has slowed down or quit working, so he would have a better chanch outside of my belly to grow after he is full term.   But anyway,  I cant wait to hear all of the birthing stories as well.  have a good last month or so ladies!!!

luv2bemommy - This is my second child, but my first daughter - and I am not having a shower either.  I just feel that I was given so much for my firstborn (I truly was), that DH and I can get the rest.  Plus I know some people will give gifts not matter what, I just didn't want to make them feel obligated to buy (the economy is rough enough as it is) and I again, I know those who truly want to buy, will buy even if I do not have a shower.

I too was measuring about 28 weeks at about week 32 - and my midwife said it was normal but on the small side of normal if that makes since.   She scheduled me an ultrasound to make sure the placenta and the baby was measuring on track and they were both good - so now at 34 weeks my uterus measured 32 and a half!  My midwife said that it can have a lot to with how the baby is presently laying at the time that they measure you.

I am pregnant with my first child, a girl, who my husband and I will be naming Sophia Bean.  We have been married for 4 years and it took us 3 long years to get pregnant!  I had a shower 2 weeks ago and got most of everything I needed, and I am having a small shower at work on April 20!  I am due May 8, and at my checkup on Monday the Dr. said everything was going well.  My pregnancy has gone pretty good so far, but we have had a few bumps along the way, thank goodness nothing major!  I am almost done with her nursery and lets just say she will be seeing lots of pink lol.  Hope everyone keeps with the updates.....can't wait until we all have our babies and start posting lots of pics!

Hi every one, I am 35wks along with our first baby. We are having a boy. My due date is 06th May.
Every thing has been going great so far and last appointment the Dr. thought he might be breech. It was dissapointing to hear that as I was hoping for a natual birth.
I have an ultra sound scheduled for 19Apr to confirm and if he doesn't turn by then I will have a C section.
My DH and I have decided to decline if the Dr. offer to turn thr baby externally. After reading the risks involved in it for the baby, we are just not comfortable doing that.

So all of us are getting pretty close now. Can't wait to read every one's birth stories.

Take care!!

Okay heres an update about whats been going on with my non growing uterus situation.  I am 35 weeks now,  I went to my 35 week appointment on Thursday.  My uterus is catching up so that is a very good sign.  It is now at 33cm, so only two weeks behind.  My doctor also informed me that my baby's head is way down. Like in the birthing canal where it should be for delievery.  Makes me wonder if hes gonna make an earlier appearence for me.  I hope so, atleast no earlier then 38 weeks of course.  I just really cant wait to meet my baby boy.  So in that case, my doctor said I should have a shorter easier labor then most first time mothers since I dont have to wait that extra few hours for him to get his head down there. I just hope he isnt alil booger and moves before then.  And my doctor also said i'll prolly have a small baby, hed be surprised if he was bigger then 7lbs.  Kinda sad but its still okay.  5 more weeks for me ladies!!! Cant wait!!!

Also please anyone use this thread for any information on doctors appointments or anything.  Not just this one time.. Id love to hear about all the progress to with all the little ones...  Take care!!

hey 7 lbs is plenty trust me! thats not really a small child! If it makes you feel better, my first daughter was measuring behind, a little more than you actually, so they took her two weeks early and she was 5.4 but very beautiful and perfectly healthy! just tiny! they thought she would need special care afterwards but she didnt. I wish my dr. this time would tell me exactly what im measuring but all he ever says is "everything looks good" which i suppose i should be thankful for but i want DETAILS! lol
well i am blowing UP. Some say I am tiny, others say whoa you are huge...so I dont know who to believe but I can definitely tell that these more recent weeks i have been getting significantly bigger. I am so glad now that its almost over, not that i no longer like being pregnant, but i am very anxious to just hold her. I have yet to pack my bag, everyone else have theirs ready? One concern I have is breastfeeding, I tried my hardest last two times, but feel determined that this time it has to work. The first time since my baby was so little I felt like I had to give her whatever she would take or she would waste away, and she took the bottle so much better that it was a relief to me. My second also started losing weight after a month of me breastfeeding she just wasnt gaining so i quit, thinking my milk wasnt good enough. I so hope i can nurse this time! I also hope for a quick and easy as possible delivery! well thats my update, hope to hear back more from everyone soon! we start seeing the dr. weekly so there should be plenty to tell!

Aww thanks for the update, I feel that we get so lost on this forum and im running out of things to post to keep it going, since no one else is lol.. but im glad to hear your baby was healthy, after being 2 weeks early, how far behind were you? and did they take her because she was behind?  I know how you feel, im so confused, some people tell me im huge, and some people tell me Im tiny, so I dont know which one to go with. lol..  I dont plan on breastfeedin, i want to but i just cant get myself too.  Im still debating on if im gonna do it for the first two days while im in the hospital.  just to give him that colustrum, and im really fond of holding my baby, and i really dont want to share him for the few first days, so the way i look at it, is if i do breasteed for the firstfew days, then hell get all that good stuff for him and ill get the most time with my baby!!!  yay my appointments are every week too.. i have one on thursday so ill be here to talk about it after word.  Cant wait to hear about ur next update

hey i guess ill update now :)at my last appointment i saw a different doctor and he measured me right on track...he said i wasn't too big or too small so that was a relief. i have my next appointment wednesday. we had a small bump in the road this weekend...i was admitted for a night to the hospital for contractions..it took them several doses of the medication to stop my contractions. but my cervix wasn't dilating so thats good. however they did say im 50% effaced..so im eager to talk to my doctor about whether or not that's concerning. i really want her to stay in there until full term...so im hoping to walk around at 50 for awhile. im not sure when my appointments become weekly...i think when i am 35 weeks then i go again at 36 but im not completely sure. ill update again after wednesday's appointment. :)

Yes, I have my bag mostly packed.  I figure I will write down a list of things I am not able to pack until the day of, so I don't forget.  People are saying I look like I have dropped.  I am feeling him kick lower and more pressure down there, so I probably have.  To me I guess I look the same.  Still bothered by the back pain and now some pain in my upper stomach from the muscles stretching.  I find myself getting more excited to get the show on the road.  But yesterday I found myself thinking how weird it is going to be to not be pregnant anymore.

ugh Om Im so sick of going back and forth, so i had my 36 week checkup yesterday.  And once again my uterus is flunctating again... yesterday it meassured 32 cm...  why is this happenin.. its really starting to drive me insane, this baby is my life..  I was really hoping for a worry free pregnancy and everything has been great no problems at all until 32 weeks, when this uterus problem started.  I have an u/s on Monday to check out the baby.  My doctor saids that if hes not growing right on track then hes gonna get the baby out asap, to grow and develop outside of my belly.. all though I would love to be holdin my baby this time next week. I cant bear him to be unhealthy, or underwieght.... Im so worried and its seriously taking a toll on me..

sorry to hear that girl, I know its very worrisome for you I remember exactly how it felt for me. Just know that everything is going to be ok- they are going to make sure your baby is as healthy as possible. Just try to relax and enjoy (or try to) the remainder of your pregnancy!
As for me, some back period like cramps today. it doesnt feel nice. baby is really active and very low which doesnt help. if this turns into something serious im going to be so ticked. i dont want to go into labor yet. i dont think thats what it is but heck i dont know. It could even be a uti or kidney infection or something. and surprise surprise my doc is on vacation for the next 2 weeks, ugh

I go for my 36 week check up next week.  I am just wondering if anyone is experiencing the same things as me.  I have been getting period like sensations down there and it is definately more sensative.  I was wondering if anyone else has looked down there.  I was trying to clean up down there before my exam and was using a mirror - yikes was it big!  Maybe TMI : )  I have also started to get indigestion and loose stools.  I usually get this before my period, so somethings going on.  I think I have had one braxton hicks contraction that I could pin point.  It has been difficult to tell, because I have had back and side pain for awhile and I can't tell if that's causing the discomfort or a BH.  The doctor has said I am right on schedule my last few appointments.  I just hope I don't go before 40 weeks.  As much as I want this over, I want my time off to extend further into the summer.  I know selfish of me : )

I did not want to say anything but I have noticed some changes down there too! Although mostly on one side. I asked one of the nurses about it and they said it was a vein or something. Nothing to be concerned about. I guess we are just getting so close that our bodies are doing all these weird things in preparation! I really would like to stay pregnant for right now too, at least until 38 or 39 weeks. I am ready as I will ever be in terms of being uncomfortable and hot (TX!) BUT I know the baby needs as long as she can get in there. I am also worried if something happens my doctor wont be around and I will have to deliver with a complete stranger. No loose bm's though, and I know for a fact thats one thing to look out for since it happened when I went into labor with DD#2. well good luck all, keep posting!

So I went to the doctor yesterday.  I am 36 weeks now.  I got my first "check" to see if I am dialated.  Plus, they gave me the group b test.  I have to say the exam wasn't as bad as I have heard it to be.  It was uncomfortable, but not painful.  I just felt a lot of pressure.  So my doctor told me I am 1 cm dialated and my cervix is softening.  She told me I am measuring about a week ahead and she anticipates I will go before my due date - May 12th.  I could feel that I dropped more on Monday, because I definately started to feel more pressure on my bladder.  Before that, it was occassional pressure.  I am feeling his hands lower too. I am getting excited to see what the little guy is going to look like.  Anyone else starting to dialate?
