depression and pregnancy

Hey all. This is my first time posting anything. So I'm due November 14th. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 17, I'm 21 now, I've taken medicine on and off. Mostly off because of my stubbornness. Because of all the hormone changes I've been extremely depressed. My therapist suggests possibly getting back on medicine because she's worried about me. Unfortunate to say I'm worried. I didn't know if any of you had thoughts or have taken any depression medicine while pregnant.

I'm allergic to anti depressants and I was diagnosed at 16, anxiety at 14 so no meds for me. Single, 20 and pregnant. It's hard, but once you hit your 2nd trimester, your hormones really lighten up on you. I've also been spending all my time either making things for my baby or with my mom. I'm due November 1st

I think that the meds somehow affect the baby but the best thing to do is talk with your doc about it, depending on how severe it is you might need to take the meds anyway
