Early labor signs?

I'm 37 weeks today, and been having contractions off and on since yesterday, along with a lot of lower back pressure, and losing my mucus plug. And sorry if tmi, but random diarrhea out of nowhere after also when it's been the complete opposite for a while. I've read that labor hormones do that. I just don't have anyone to ask these sorts of things. Could these be signs of things getting started, or just my wishful thinking?

I see my doctor tomorrow morning. I was 1 cm at my 36 week appointment, so definitely hoping for some progression this week. Still waiting for my energy burst. Would be great right about now lol. I've actually been feeling a lot more sluggish today than usual. I just have this strange gut feeling that he's coming very soon.

I would say a definite yes, however you could still be in for a little wait. Losing your plug can happen a few weeks or days before, diarrhea like symptoms is due to all those wonderful hormones making every muscle and ligament relax, but also a good sign that your body is emptying out ready for the big moment! I'm 38wks+2 and have had loose frequent movements for the last week/fortnight. Beautiful! :s and now to really increase the tmi I'm positive my plug is still intact and its just discharge that has increased! Grim but all good signs I'm sure!
Have you had an increase in energy? When you seeing your midwife again?

Fingers crossed for your date being very soon! X
