I so sorry about your sis, but great the other one is coping okay although on oxygen for rest of her life. Having said that bare in mind that chances of healthy survival at 29 weeks has increased lots in 19 years.. I also hope this tiny baby copes and survives well. praying for her...
Wow, what an amazing story. I would love to see how she is doing in a month or so. My baby sister were born at 29 weeks and each weighed about 2 1/2 pounds. One went home 3 monhts later, the other was in the hospital for a year and 3 monhts before they released her. She kept getting pnemonia and getting sick. She ended up with a tracheal tube to breathe, a gastrostomy to eat(feeding tube in her stomach), and oxygen off and on throughout ther life. My other sister, the one that came home healthy after 3 months passed away at 11 months of SIDS. Now my other sister is 19 years old and back on oxygen, but doing pretty good. With her lungs as scarred as they are from not being fully developed, she will have to be on oxygen the rest of her life. But otherwise she is doing well. I hope this little one makes it through all the trials of being born so early. So far, so good.
wow... that is amazing!! the baby is soooo small. did you see her little feet?? i can't believe it.... im speechless!!
