I don't know if she's actually dropped though... she does feel lower, but from time to time I definitely still feel her kicking me in the ribs or ramming her tushy wait out so that I get this little round bump near my left side (so she's head down, but I'm pretty sure she's head down and sideways... her butt is always off the my left side and her feet/knees are always poking off to my right side).
I don't mind delivering early (especially if it saves me from either delivering a 10 lb baby or having a c-section), but I'm just anxious to find out what the plan will be. It's going to be a last minute decision I think (based on the next couple of ultrasounds and measurements). All I know is they definitely won't be letting me go past my due date at least... that much I can rely on. =)
Thank you both on complimenting my babies name... we figure if we shorten it to Lily, she won't hate us when she's a teen and all the other kids have cool names and she has an old lady name (I personally think it sounds very feminine and pretty which is why we chose it).
oh i love the name Lillian. it sounds so innocent and angelic!! absolutely beautiful!! im hoping to deliver early too. with my first pregnancy my daughter was 1 1/2 weeks over due and weighed 9lbs 1oz. she was BIG! but the labour wasnt bad at all. so im hoping for an early labour, smaller baby and a quick painless delivery.
In the city where i live, my doc was saying they are expecting a record # of babies to be born in september. kinda neat when you think about it.. but we have such a small hospital that there wont be enough beds. so im scared for that reason for sure.
wow well i think you start to drop the closer you get to delivering.. im not to sure on when people usually start to drop because this is my first and hes deff in my ribs still so im not droping yet.lol i think you might have her sooner than just a week before your due date, especially if she has dropped already.
lillian is a cute name, diffrent and cute.
congrats, you will have your baby earlier than what you originally expected I guess... My due date is also 25th Sep!
I've wondered that about whether I'll end up having her earlier than "scheduled" since she is so big. My doc was worried about the same thing (getting too big), but she said that if I delivered early, it would probably only be by a week or so. In the last few weeks it definitely seems like she's dropped a bit... you can see it, but I can also feel that she's a bit lower now.
Her name will be Lillian... but we'll probably shorten it to Lily. It's a little old fashioned, but we really fell in love with it.
yes im very exited about my baby coming early than i thought i cant wait to see what he looks like.lol
im feeling good still very tired though and still a bit sick every once in a while.yuck.
and thankyou on the name "coment".
wow thats crazy how your 4wks ahead of what you should be.lol yeah my doctor did change my due date to sept 25th because they dont want the baby to get to big where i cant have him naturally and besides that they think he will be to tight in my belly. who knows you might actully deliver in the middle of august which is coming up real soon.. does your baby still seem to be real high in your belly?
and thank you on the name....what are you naming your daughter?
hey there!! welcome to the community!! well thats very exciting that your date date has changed. thats quite the big different in dates, im sure you are VERY happy about it though!! lol
so how are you feeling? is this your first? i love your babys name, its beautiful. one of my girlfriends named her son aiden as weel, but spelt it Adyn.
In that case, welcome to the September forum!
So did your doctor actually tell you that your due date has changed? I'm just curious b/c I'm currently at 35 weeks (making my due date Sept 3).. but the last couple ultrasounds I've had have shown me to actually be 4 weeks ahead based on the size of the baby. But the doctor told me I would keep my original due date b/c this just means my baby is a big girl... I should still give birth near the beginning of September.
Cute boy's name by the way. =)
