From past experiences with miscarriages, you definitely need to take the progesterone if your levels are low because of risk of miscarriage. The sooner the better. Get a new doc if you don't feel confident in this one but take the progesterone in the meantime.
i would get a new doctor. doesn't matter if your bleeding or not a doctor checks your hormone levels when your around that time.. if the doctor doesnt even take the time to do that then would good would it do.. they usually check your levels to make sure you match with your pregnancy. good luck
At 9 weeks pregnant I don't see why they would check your hcg levels especially since, as you say you aren't spotting.
Change doctors if you like. Did she give you a number, on the progesterone, or just say "sorta low?"
