I know for the state of Minnesota if I were to claim that I have a child but don't live with the father of the baby, they'd make him pay child support... As long as I claim both incomes they won't go after him!
They don't make him pay child support but if he has a job or medical insurance he might have to pay back half the cost of your delivery.
I think you only have to if you are getting food stamps or any other assistance like that.
You should be fine, I would think you would have to file for child support. I have state insurance too and have never had an issue, the father is on the certificate and we all live together. They can't make you recieve child support:P
Not true they only make you put him on IF your getting cAsh assistance or p.o.c
If you did not include him as part of your household on the medicaid application then he will be responsible for financial compensation after he signs the birth certificate. If the medicaid is for the baby the application must be based on all parties financially responsible for the baby. Otherwise it would be considered welfare fraud.
