Medicaid Question

After the baby is born I heard that they make your partner pay child support? Is this true? Even if you're together and under the same roof? I dont want my fiance to have to pay child support so I've been trying to do some research because if I need to I'll just look for other insurance.

We do not live together though so it may be a different situation. I would call your case worker she will give you better info than the internet:)

In my state they told me that I have to let them know he is helping with bills or baby stuff or what have you. If you're in a relationship and are not married they just want to know that he is not a dead beat dad. Like my bf pays part of my car and insurance and out phones and they didn't ask for proof. If they do I'm just going to put the money in my account before paying the bill and then it's documented. Hope that helps

Nope they can't force you to have them pay.
They will leave you alone if you tell them you don't want your partner to pay.

I don't think they can force them to pay child support. I will make sure with my fiance he has a 3 yr. Old and the mom was living with him so I don't think they can. Only if you file for child support.
