I had literally just woke up in the morning because my contractions were making me nauseous in my sleep. I walked to my mother's room so she could rub my belly and as soon as I went to open her door it broke.

I was sleeping and my water broke and it woke me up. I thought I had just peed all over myself

second question to this question, where you ladies having sex leading up to your water breaking? i was and was wondering if the sex played a factor in breaking my water, because its actually not that common for a womans water to break on its own, i think its like 7 or 8% of womens water break starting labor.

I thought it was pretty common for a woman's water to break on its own, unless she had managed to talk her doctor into inducing her.

i was told this in my birthing class last year, and by pretty much every source I've come across, i was surprised as well, i just want to know if more sex can bring it to break rather than no sex.

I have had 4 kids and am pregnant with my 5th and my water did not break with any of them! I had to have it broken every time. Hopefully this time!

Same here!! I'm really hoping it breaks on its own. I hate when they break the water even with the epidural last time I felt the pain and pressure when they were doing it. Fingers crossed.

No i hadn't been having sex prior to water breaking but I had just been bouncing on the couch to try get things started haha

I was in the hospital bed, about to be sent home 15 minutes before my water broke. I was drifting off to sleep when I had a strong connection and felt a pop followed by liquid

Fun fact, only 1 in 3 women have the dramatic water breaking experience! Mine was punctured when my membranes got swept and I had a slow leak over a couple days. Just thought it was discharge!

My waters broke twice when I was in labour with my daughter first lot went when I was on an excercise ball heard a pop ran off to the loo my first lot of waters came out. Then 2 hours later second lot popped when I was on the hospital bed I had my first 'pushing contraction' said to my hubby I think I'm peeing again and them whoooshhh! Haha
