I would see if cali has free legal aid advice. I mean some may get away with it but you are 15. The other guy was 17. That 2 years makes a difference. I'm not sure you'd want to put him in there just to be safe. Don't mean he can't be there but I'd hate to see the state pick it up and press charges. Even your county can be different with how they press matters on this level. Your best advice is going to be from a lawyer.
Laws are in place to protect young teens from adults. Yeah 15 and 19 doesn't seem that bad, but yet 14 and 10 does. I'd contact the hospital and maybe a lawyer to check the laws in your state.
This us so odd that there are so many conflicting stories in here. All I can add to this is when I was a teen I knew several girls that had babies by adult males, and none of those males ever got in trouble with the law. This was in CA btw.
Im sure you will be ok, just be prepared. Even if your parents are ok with it the STATE can still press charges. Im in indiana and my mother gave consent to my bf, he even lived with us and shared a room with me, I was 16 & he was 19. The state picked it up and pressed charges and he went to jail for 2 years. Even though my family and I didn't press charges or ask , we even said it was ok. Laws are laws, they dont care how you feel. Im also in indiana though so im not sure what California state law is but be aware. Just because your parents are ok with it doesnt mean the state wont press charges.
My sons birth certificate very clearly states 1990 as my fiancé bday and mine as 1983. Not even on person questioned AND my doctor knew.. and my fiance was at every appointment and the birth.. YOU ARE GONNA BE OK.
Girl nothing has changed.if the hospital does not feel that u are in danger they are not gonna call the police on him.its not like its a huge age difference. its a few years.the people processing the app for birth certificates are doing so many at a time they are not analyzing every persons date of birth.
Trust me no one will even notice. Its so common for girls your age to have 18/19 and even 20yr old boyfriends. Trust me I have given birth to 6 babies (not all mine I'm a surrogate) so ihave spent plenty of time dealing with hospitals, nurses, birth certificates and other legal docs pertaining to child birth. It will be fine..oh and in California it doesn't matter who's name you put on the birth certificate - the legal system does not consider the proof of paternity. That's why men don't sign them anymore.. so u putting his name on there basically means nothing, he is not signing or agreeing to anything. I hope that makes sense to you. Good luck and seriously don't stress about it.
