Hes age is totally fine, but it depends on your age, he could go to jail if you are a minor, I had the same situation but after I was 18 I got marry. Good luck!

He can be put on the birth certificate . There shouldn't be a problem with that .

Lol, once you're pregnant you are not considered an adult. How old are you? Each state has different ages, but say you're 17 and he's 19, it's ok. Honestly you can call the hospital and they should have someone who knows legally.

As long as your guardian is ok with it, then yes it is ok for him to be on the birth certificate. They cannot take him to jail for rape unless you are under a certain age depending on the State you are in and if you're above that age and you do NOT claim rape or your parents dont, then they will not jail him.

If your parents approve of y'all being together , there shouldn't be a problem

I think its only an issue if your about 5 years younger. Or is it 3? One of those. Don't stress girl, just be happy (:

The above is NOT true. It depends on your state! I have personally known someone who was arrested for having sex with his under age gf and it was with consent. Her parents did not report him. He had to go to trail for it and was put on probation. It's a serious thing, you need to check!

Well in my state once you're pregnant you can get married without parent consent so that's what I meant . But usually you have to be 16 in most states to consent and then it's 3 years age difference in most states but if you are say 15 and you're states consent age is 16 then it would be illegal if he was even 16 and you were 15 but states vary

If your underage and your parent approves the relationship there is no problem with it. Put him on there.  Also it's quite a hassle to make changes it later on

Depends on what state you're in because each state has different age of consent laws. For example: i live in Texas. The age of consent here is 17. Unfortunately, i got pregnant at 16 while my babys father was 24. We have to talk to his lawyer because from my understanding, if he were to sign the birth certificate, he could go to jail, even though my mom was and is okay with it. What could happen is the state could pick up the case and press charges. So be careful.

Guys. STOP telling her it's fine because it might not be. Maybe in YOUR state it's "fine" but not in some other states.

Age of consent I just searched in California is 18 so if you are under 18 at all and he is over 18 it's illegal I would hold off until you were 18 or he could go to jail and be labeled as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

How young are you? ... and with parent consent then nothing can happen ... He can sign the BC and if you want the child too have his last name you can do it ..

In California the age of consent is 18 being pregnant doesn't automatically make you an adult in Ca. It doesn't matter if your mom approves. It is illegal for anybody older than 18 to have sex with an underage teen unless they are married. If the age difference is less than 3 years its considered a misdemeanor. Anything higher than that is a felony. Hope this helps. Good luck.

I believe in a previous forum she mentioned she was 15. I'm not positive but if that is the case I would contact the hospital and maybe a lawyer just to make sure it is safe. Like you said the last thing you want is for your bd to be in jail instead of supporting his baby. Good luck

You do not have to worry. I live in Cali. My fiance was only 17 and I was 23. He lied to me about his age in case anyone was wondering.. and his mom and entire family went along with it. I got pregnant and we put him on the birth certificate with no issue. The hospital does not care. Nor was I scared that I was gonna be arrested for rape. I found out he was under age the month b4 I was due. And we are still together 7 years later.. its fine don't stress.

Talk to a lawyer! I'm sure there are plenty of law forums for California law that you could get a little bit of advice from. Either that, or one of your friends or family members knows someone that can give you some advice. A divorce lawyer would probably be able to send you down the right path. They handle more than just that. I'm sure you know someone that got a divorce who might be able to hook you up.Good luck. Don't just risk it. Find out for sure from someone that it's their job to know.
