Folic acid is a synthetic form of folate & it's bad for anyone to take. I'm a medical student & I was taught that folic acid was bad which is why I never understood why doctors insist we take it. It's best to get folate not folic acid. & you can get folate from simply eating foods with folate in it. You don't even need to over indulge in it. Besides most prenatals have it in them and if your really worried just up your nuts and greens in your diet you will absorb that kind way better anywho
