medicine my doctor gave me safe for my baby?

I'm 12 weeks with and std clumida and a yeast infection for my yeast infection I'm taking amoxicillin 500mg one in the morning one in the after noon and one at night and for my std I'm taking azithromycin 250mg and my doctor said to take all 4 at once and I'm done. But thing is I'm scared all these pills can mess with my baby my doctor said she wouldn't give me anything that would do such a things but I'm nervous what if it can and my baby takes the worst and comes with defects or anything. What do some of you lady's think?

teenmom,  you probably need to mention at your next visit about the infection.

I know I might sound like a nut saying amox isn't for a yeast infection,  but it isn't.

Amox is for a bacterial infection.

You can google medical websites and get more information by typing amox yeast.

Best wishes.

You should be fine all those meds are preventative not narcotics that could be harmful

Get a second opinion if you want, but listen to your doctor... If they say the meds are safe, then they are safe. You don't need to second guess them.

Yes I'm sure my doctor called me with the results and I was shocked because I had nothing not itchy or anything so it was weird I'm just worried about all this medicine I'm taking in my first trimester when everything in the first trimester is really critical and when everything is first developing

Are you sure about your diagnoses?  Amox isn't for a yeast infection,  and in fact,  will often give you a yeast infection.  Amox is an antibiotic,   not an antifungal.

Azith is a category B pregnancy medication,  meaning pregnant animals did fine,  but it hasn't been tested on pregnant humans,  and there is no evidence of fetal damage from it in use.

Ive had a yeast infection too. Try to relax and trust your dr. But if its causing you too much stress. Get a second opinion from a different dr
