Age

I'm about to get married to someone 11 years older than me. I am 37 he is 48. We both have children from previous relationships but have both agreed we would love a child of our own. I'm unsure as he is as we feel we'd be starting all over again? The youngest is 12. We both have concerns about our age & whether we could give a child the energy & attention they deserve. Are we too old? I'd love to hear some opinions on this to help me. Can't really talk to my own family as my mother thinks it's a ridiculous idea to have a baby at my age x

At 37 you are not too old.  If he is up for it, he is not too old either.  My neighbors had their first child when she was 49 and he was 59.  They are doing great with their now second grader.  The only thing to be concerned about, in my opinion, is that when college hits you two will need to have your retirement money secure and separate from the challenge of helping a kid fund college.
