Okay I've asked this question a little while ago. And I just randomly remembered it, but any who. I've been wanting to dye my hair. I'm about four months pregnant and all I want is to do a simple black that's all nothing special or anything. I saw something about oil based hair dyes should be okay as long as you do it in a ventilated room, and with having that in my mind I've been thinking about just doing a quick one time thing because the color I had my hair before is just out and looks horrible and I don't see it helping because I already feel gross.

I know there was information on Garnier hair dye and I was just really wondering if anyone else has dyed their hair using that or maybe something different? I know there are other hair dyes you can use but from what I understand it washes out fast and I don't want something that washes out easily or fast. I kinda want it to last threw out the pregnancy.

So if you can maybe give me a few tips?
It would be very helpful.

I was scared too so i dyed it with a 10 minute dye to get it done quick lol

Go for it. I dyed my hair with my first son n he came out healthy I dyed my hair three weeks ago for my wedding n my baby is still fine. Just dont do the salon treatment buy the box dyes, they dont have to much chemicals unlike the actual salon treatment. People will jugde but f*** them your life your child. Be a proud mommy. :-)

You can color your hair, the issue can be is might not turn out how you want because your hair changes during pregnacy and the prenatal build up in your system causing resistance to the color. The other issue is if your still having morning sickness, the chemicals might make you sick. If your doing it you're self I recommend using a good Clarifying shampoo before color to remove build up and do not use box color from Walmart get color from at least sally or a professional beauty store, you will have more success!

You can color your hair with box color just make sure it doesn't have ammonia. Also color might not stick because of all the hormones. Also make sure your in room that's well ventilated

I dyed mine dark brown twice with garnier while pregnant. And just the other day I bleached it blonde. The OBGYN who writes the new addition of What To Expect When You're Expecting says that dying when pregnant is fine as long as you do it in ventilated area. Just be mindful that it is very possible for your hair to come out a different color than expected bc of the pregnancy hormones. But if you're just going dark then I wouldn't think it would mess up.

Use ammonia free hair dye. You should be fine to dye your hair.
