My doctor told me to eat breakfast and lunch ( if my appt was in the afternoon) so yes. Do eat. I would eat regardless and once you get there you can tell them what you ate and if they aren't happy with that then you can let them know that you were never told. But I was told to eat.
My Dr didn't tell me anything either. Some chick told me I wasn't suppose to eat So I didn't eat for like 16 hrs and I fainted and threw up like 5 times.
Dr said I passed and I told her I fainted and she said I was suppose to eat
You do not have to fast! I didn't fast at all, I was sleep by midnight. I didn't eat anything that morning, only drunk water and my test results were good.
Umm actually the one hour test you don't have to fast before or after the test I just had mine done this past Tuesday nd this is also my 2nd child nd it was the same for my first child I honestly suggest eating something small like cereal or something before so you don't get a sugar high
Can't eat by midnight till the test they'll give you the liquid to drink a hour before the glucose test
The 1 hour one my doctor told me not to drink or eat anything sweet before going
My doctor told me not to fast for my one hour test or else I would get sick. She said eat an egg and some bacon or peanut butter and try to stay away from carbs and sugar.
If it is the 1 hour test you dont have to fast, although my doctor recommended not to eat anything high in sugar like donuts before going. However, if it is the 3 hour test then you do have to fast for 8 hours prior to the test
I believe you fast 12 hours before the test and don't eat or drink anything after you drink the stuff so they have an accurate reading my levels came out perfect
I didmt eat anything before my test bc they give you this drink and if you eat something high in sugar, your levels will shoot through the roof. My test came out fine. If you have any auestions just call your ob office
