ADVICE PLZ On dentists
im almost 20 weeks, the last couple days ive been having really bad pain in my mouth from two seperate teeth,i cant sleep at night it keeps me awake is it safe to go to the dentists or should i wait till after the babys born??? I Also have high blood pressure would they still see me??

With high blood pressure i dont think they can do much for u. My dentist checks my b.p. b4 he does anything ( only when im preggo) bcus the meds for fillings can cause ur b.p. to rise more. Speak with ur OB and dentist first. A lot of the times the risk of the infection in the tooth is more harmful to the baby than the xray and 20 min procedure. But with high BP definitely discuss first

Dental work is safe, and my ob said with the lead apron X-rays were ok. My dentist was cautious though and skipped the X-rays. One important thing none of these other smart ladies mentioned, if you have a procedure done make sure they use a lidocaine or pain reliever that doesn't have epinephrine in it. Bad for baby and your heart. Also I agree with the others, double check with your obgyn about the heart risk. Never hurts to call and they are used to it. Good luck!
I've had lots of dental work done while pregnant. Most dentists should have a suit which they lay over you while your pregnant if you need an xray which is perfectly safe!
You can go to the dentist you just can't have X-rays done. Your dentist will know what is safe and what's not. I have had fillings and even a root canal done while pregnant.
