Is she having morning sickness or purposely sticking something down her throat to make her throw up. There is a difference. Morning sickness is common. The first trimester with both of my pregnancies I could barely eat and if I did I threw it up. If she had an eating disorder then she needs to seek help. If it is natural morning sickness and depending on how far along she is no it will not hurt the baby and should go away during her 2nd trimester. If it is an eating disorder then like I said before she needs to seek help as that will eventually affect the baby. I is common for women who are experiencing morning sickness to lose weight during the first trimester. With my first pregnancy I Lost about 30 pounds and then gained most of it back by the end of my pregnancy. My current pregnancy I lost about 20 pounds and am slowly gaining it back now.
