Well that's what I was thinkin. I googled it and it really didn't say if I could or couldn't. I just am not much of a breakfast eater cuz it makes me feel bad and I figure if a shake has everything in it anyway it should be fine. It's not like that's all I eat.
I have a shake everyday with a protein powder in it and I make it with Almond milk (more calcium than regular milk) a banana and frozen strawberries almost everyday as a snack. I've talked to my home visiting nurse, my nurse practitioner and dr and they said it was fine to drink. You can also juice. I dont understand how its bad when everything you eat has pretty much the same thing as the shake does.
*soy is bad. Soy protein isolate is fine
I have bolthouse farms shakes from walmart they r safe I also have protein powder but I forgot the brand I will let u know what it is. My midwife said to have it. Soy is not got andthats in protein stuff but Iif it says soy protein isolate thats okay.
Protein powders are not good it even says it on the container. Haha, but quinoa is like a grain so I agree with the comment above. Chicken is a great source of protein and so is salmon but make sure they are cooked properly!!!
What about making your own shakes with fresh fruits and veggies and adding some quinoa or other natural protein source?
I don't think these type of things are recommended when pregnant. Just up to your food intake to include all major food groups (including protein) that you should be eating while pregnant. A simple Google search will help you with those.
