GD test today!!

For those of you ladies that have had this test already (Gestational diabetes test) what did the syrup taste like? Like sweet? Like medicine? What was your experience with it??  Im very curious!! :)

Whatever you do, Dont chug it!! I took the sprite one yesterday and i threw up last night and Im still sick today.

I asked the same question and everything he made it sound so bad.. It really wasn't bad at all. Your suppose to fast for 8hours before the test so don't eat anything or it could cause you to fail because it messes with your blood sugar levels. Really isn't bad! Promise :)

I did mine today too. Usually I dont mind it and it doesnt make me feel sick but today it  did because of they had it warm.

I'd compare it to a melt orange popsicle. Yucky but doable.

I had to fast for mine. It wasnt bad at all. Drank it in 1 minute. People make it sound worse than it really is.

I had my test a few weeks ago it was sweet and tasted like flat orange soda I didnt think it was thick at all. I didnt mind the taste..

I had to do the 3 hour one and it was so gross. But my doctors didnt let me eat anything before because they said it would affect the results. So bout 2 hours in I felt so sick but I pulled through and it all turned out good. Only thing was since I did it at like 13 weeks my doctor said I have tp do it again at like 6 months.

I had orange a couple of weeks ago and had fruit punch today.  The orange tasted like thick orange kool aid. The fruit punch tasted alright just very very sweet

It was very sweet and thick but not horrible I got lemon flavored i actually liked it it was given to me collddd!

My doctor recommended eating protein before the test. Nothing with sugar. Im dreading mine lol

Sweet flat orange soda i didnt mind it at all.. didnt mind it til i failed it and had to do the 3 hr one. Had 50 more mg wanted to puke but kept it down.

Horrible! Think very flat sprite or orange soda with corn syrup added to thicken it up. Very tough on an empty stomach. Good luck with your test though!
