Some of us are not crazy, but those insisting that drinking a gallon of water or more and not taking into account other fluids that are being consumed in the day (fruit, veg, soups) and whether there is excessive sweating - are!

6-8 16oz bottles of water does not equate to a gallon.

Are u guys serious. A gallon a day is no where near harmful. If you are spreading that gallon over the course of the day that's great. You should really drink half of your body weight . If you are 200 pounds U should drink 100 oz of water per day. We must stay hydrated.

I also dont think a gallon is excessive. I drink 6-8 16oz bottles of water every day and I've never been told by my doctor that it was excessive. I do spend a lot of time peeing but its very easy for me to drink that amount of water. Just with dinner alone I usually have 2 water bottles. Lol

To:coming in November. Listen to what jemma116 said.. in her 1st post I couldn't have said it better. Just drink like 2glasses at least. Just when ever you are thirsty.
To all the girls that said its not harmful: yeah if you are a fish, great. But how do you think drowning occurs? Use your brain, if not, use Google for **** sake.

Its fine. I'm high risk and have a dietitician and high risk doctor and both have told me a rule of thumb for drinking water is whatever ur weight is, cut that in half and that's how many ounces u should drink a day IN PREGNANCY to ensure u and baby get enough water.

Also because the standard 64oz is good to go by but in pregnancy our water needs go up and 64 oz is recommended to everyone not just pregnant women. And as our baby grows and our weight grows we need the proper amount of water to hydrate everything.

So weight in pounds, diveded by 2. And that's how many ounces you should have this way the bigger you get you can always ensure u have enough water and with the heat rising now they say a little extra won't hurt either
