Imma use cloth diapers as well...my mom used them with all four of us and she said that its cheaper in the long run and the baby gets less diaper rashes because it allows the babies lil bum to breath

Good point mamabear! I chose Gdiapers for that reason because after daycares see how to use them they usually allow them if you bring the disposable inserts for them to use. Not always but a lot of the time.

And a small amount of babies will get a little rash from ammonia build up. That's why they are supposed to be boiled in AA when they start to get a little smell to them. Sorry the app posted before I could add that.

The only extra part to cloth diapering is done only occassionally.
Cloth holds small amounts of ammonia from the pee which is harmless and fine.

But when they start to smell you simply toss them in a big pot of water with ammonia assassin and boil them for awhile. Ammonia assassin is not expensive.

Does the baby have to go to daycare? If so, you might check to see if they allow babies to use cloth diapers there, a lot of time they don't. The last time I had to use a cloth diaper was with my baby brother. As a pre-teen they grossed me out (lol) and I'm still kind of a germaphobe so I'm going with disposable, but I hear they're very different these days.

I'm going to use Gdiapers. They have 3 pieces to them.

1.) The outside fabric. It velcros open and shut like a disposable does.
2.) Water proof liner. It snaps in.
3.) The cloth insert. You just set it in the liner.

They also have disposable inserts that you can throw away after you use them. So really Gdiapers are a hybrid diaper. :)

When its time to change the diaper you change Whatever is dirty. The liner or cloth. Everything is machine washable so it makes for easy clean up. :) just toss poo in the toilet, rinse out cloth and toss in washing pile.

It sounds time consuming tossing poop and rinsing but on the side of most disposables now it tells you to flush poop and rinse diaper before throwing out the diaper. Lol
