10 week ultrasound - Measuring

I am 10 weeks 1 day and have been in for a 6 week and 8 week ultrasound, both of which showed appropriate measurement for amount of weeks, and a strong heartbeat.  At today's appointment (10 weeks), everything looked good, strong heartbeat, but she did not measure the embryo on the ultrasound screen for size, or actually measure the heartbeat. She said everything looked great and that there was a nice heartbeat, and there was no need to measure as it would come out differently each time at this point.  This seems odd to me - should the baby be measured to be sure it is developing correctly for amount of weeks? I am only 10 weeks, and have had 3 early miscarriages (before 8 weeks with no heartbeat) in the past year.

They usually just measure your uterus for the size baby probably looked good so need to measure by ultrasound.
