Most home dopplers should work from around 10 weeks but i didnt find my babys heartbeat until i tried for about 5 minutes.
Its easier to hear if you apply a little pressure and check all over your womb, especially low towards the pubic bone.
Im 15 weeks 2 days hear my babys everyday its exactly like galloping horses and the most amazing sound ever.
Good luck
Not everyone finds a heartbeat first second or third time. Just bear with it or maybe wait until you are a lil fruther along
I rented one off of storkradio.com when i was around 13 weeks..I am now 16w1day.. it took me a few times to find it..but i finally did. when you hear it.. you will know it right away.. its like horses running.
You can hear the heartbeat earlier than 12 weeks as long as you can find it through the placenta and the baby isnt moving away from it like mine did the first time we tried. As far as the home dopplers...I have been told they dont work very well. I was going to buy one, but read a bunch of reviews about them and there arent really any affordable home dopplers to buy unless you want to and can spend quite a bit of money on one. I am sure you will be able to hear something at your next appointment. I wouldnt worry hon!
well, the one i got was more of the kind they would use in a doctors offiece...it even has a digital readout of the BPM....I am just gonna wait a few, and try not to freak out too much....
it didnt come with a video though....that would be helpful....lol
I bought one from Babies R Us and it turns out you gotta be in your 3rd trimester to really catch something...I was mad...
I rented one with my son. Did you get a video to show you how to use it? Since you are so early the baby will be down very low next to your pubic bone. Use a lot of gel and move it slowly. I was able to hear my sone at 9 weeks using a home one. When I went to the doctors office with this one they heard it at 11 weeks. make sure you lay very still. You will hear a lot of swishing noises and then there is another sound the placenta makes, I hope you got a video so you could hear all the different noises and know what you are looking for. I wouldn't worry if you can't find it, it may even take your doctor awhile to find it.
I think on the home dopplers it like 20-25 weeks until you can hear the heartbeat
I don't know, but I thought you couldn't HEAR a heartbeat until at least 12weeks. I might be wrong though.
I bought one of those, and I can't hear a thing!! I am 26w 4d and they say it should sound like galloping horses. I think it just sounds like I'm hungry, just a bunch of gurgling! Good luck with yours! I think they say it is more accurate if you wait until closer to your 5th month.
