belly and back pains

So I'm 29+1 weeks pregnant, for the pasted 2 1/2 hours I have had these sharp pains all over my belly and lower back. I had a hot shower, that didn't help. I rang the woman assessment unit to see what I should do, she said just take panadol and call back in an hour if the pain doesn't go away. In that time I've had a hot bath and taken my panadol.  An hour after taking the panadol I still have the. I haven't lost my mucas plug either(I don't think so anyway) what should I do?????

Thanks beauty12, I woke up this morning alot better, just a bit sore on my right side of my belly down the bottom. I've also just started taking iron tablets so not really doing number 2s as much as I normally would. It def didn't ease of last night, went for about 3 hours straight, think the panadol helped tho.

First if they were braxton hicks they would ease up after a while... any contractions causing pain and they dont go away no matter what you do even if they are slight period cramps i would say atleast give a call to ur doctor and let him know you r having this problem.. stay hydrated and also sometimes if your bowels are not properly empty or you have bad wind you can still get similar pains.. :)

Thanks tkenna, I just see this. Still a little pain, mainly on my right side of my belly tho. I actually think ur right with the Braxton Hicks, at first I didn't think it was that but the past hour or so, my belly has been tightening up and my baby has been going crazy in there, haha. I never got Braxton Hicks with my first child.
